Lesson 1 of 9
In Progress

Welcome to Intro to Scuba

By the end of this lesson, you’ll know exactly what the Intro to Scuba program lets you do — and what it doesn’t.

Welcome to your Intro to Scuba program

Congratulations, you are about to take the first steps to explore a brand new world underwater. Whether your first breaths underwater are in a pool or on a tropical reef, you will experience a whole new perspective. This short course will introduce you to the basic concepts and safety precautions for a safe and enjoyable try dive.

This program is not a certification course. Dives should only be made under the direct supervision of a certified scuba instructor.

Credit towards a Scuba Diving Certification

Your Intro to Scuba program forms part of the Guided Diver and Open Water Diver certifications. When you enrol on either of these courses, you will automatically be credited for the training you complete as part of your Try Scuba Diving program, providing you continue your training within 12 months of your last session.

Before you get in the water

Before we get in the water, let’s make sure all the paperwork is sorted.  It’s just a formality, but it’s important to have everything in order before we descend. Your dive instructor will likely go over these with you, so don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have.
