Perfect! For that, I’d recommend moving on to our Open Water Diver course next — it’s the internationally recognised certification that lets you dive with a buddy independently. The course builds on the Intro to Scuba you completed and includes both theory and in-water training. You will also be credited for the parts of the theory that you have already completed.

Once you finish the Open Water Diver course, you’ll be ready to dive at many locations worldwide.

We completely get that! It’s important for us to make the learning experience as smooth and clear as possible. Your feedback really helps us improve in these areas.

If you want, I can also recommend some next courses based on your goals—whether you’re aiming to dive recreationally, become a dive pro, or just learn more about marine life.

We’ve also updated the Intro to Scuba course itself to include a clearer explanation of the pathway and what you can expect after finishing the course. That way, future students won’t be left wondering what’s next.

Hi. Thanks so much for your message and for sharing your experience. I’m really happy to hear you enjoyed the Intro to Scuba course!

I totally understand how navigating the next steps can be a bit unclear at first — that’s something we’ve heard before, and we want to make sure every learner feels confident about where to go next.

To help with this, we created a detailed course flow chart that maps out the full NovoScuba learning path. It clearly shows what course you take after the Intro to Scuba and how everything fits together.

Exactly! After the Better Buddy course, if you’re feeling good and want to continue, you can upgrade to the full Rescue Diver course. But even on its own, Better Buddy gives you tools that make you a stronger, safer, and more prepared diver.

So whether you’re diving with friends, on vacation, or just exploring, both courses offer a lot—not just for professionals, but for anyone who takes their diving seriously.

Totally understandable. If you want to ease into it, you might want to consider our Better Buddy course.

It’s actually the first part of the full Rescue course, and it focuses more on developing your own skills—like awareness, situational control, and handling minor issues underwater. It’s a great way to build confidence and improve your dive abilities, without jumping straight into full-on rescue scenarios.

Hey Richards, great question—and I hear this one a lot!

The short answer is: absolutely yes, the Rescue course is incredibly valuable, even if you never plan to go pro.

It’s not just about rescuing others—it’s really about becoming a more confident, aware, and capable diver. You’ll learn advanced self-help skills, how to prevent problems before they start, and what to do when something does go wrong—whether it’s with you or someone else.

None at all. We believe access to education should come first. When you’re ready to complete your course—whether it’s Open Water, Advanced, or something more specialized—that’s when you make your payment and receive your certification.

Exactly. You can dive into all the learning materials at your own pace. We want people to explore the content, feel confident, and make sure diving is right for them—before any money changes hands. You only pay when you’ve completed a course and you’re ready to get officially certified.
