The Novoscuba Assistant Instructor Course is perfect for those looking to begin their journey as a diving educator. This course bridges the gap between Divemaster and full Instructor, giving you the skills to assist with dive instruction, teach some courses independently, and refine your presentation techniques. You’ll gain valuable teaching experience while learning to conduct dive theory lessons, confined water sessions, and more. It’s an exciting step towards becoming a fully certified scuba instructor, opening doors to professional opportunities worldwide.
You can start the e-learning whenever you like, but you’ll need to tick off the prerequisites before jumping into the practical training!
To enrol in the Assistant Instructor course:
- Be at least 18 years old (old enough to lead, teach, and rock a wetsuit!)
- Hold a NovoScuba Divemaster (or equivalent) certification
- Have at least 60 logged dives—because experience makes the best instructors!
- Have a valid diving medical from the last 12 months (let’s make sure you’re fit to make bubbles!)
- Been a certified diver for at least 6 months—long enough to know you’re hooked!
- Hold a First Aid Essentials recognition (or equivalent) within the last 24 months—because safety is key!
If that sounds like you, then you’re ready to take the plunge into the world of teaching!
