Hello everyone, and welcome to NovoScuba! I’m Mark Spiers, CEO and founder of the agency, and we’re absolutely thrilled to have you here. This session is all about giving you a behind-the-scenes look at who we are, why we started NovoScuba, and where we’re headed. Let me introduce the team joining me today—some incredible people who are as passionate about diving as they are about shaping the future of dive education. -

Mark:
To start with a bit about myself—I’ve been involved in diving for most of my life. My journey began in the cold waters of the UK as a young diver, and that early love for the ocean has stayed with me ever since. After many years with PADI, I stepped away with a vision: to build something fresh, flexible, and diver-focused. That’s how NovoScuba was born—a modern training agency created by divers, for divers. -
Sara:
Ciao tutti! I’m Sara, and I head up Marketing here at NovoScuba. I come from Italy, and honestly, if I’m not at my desk, you’ll probably find me in the water somewhere. I’ve been a dive instructor for years, and I’ve seen how important it is to have a community that supports learning, growth, and passion. That’s what we want to build here—a vibrant, global dive culture where every diver feels seen, supported, and inspired. -
Karin:
Hi everyone, I’m Karin, and I look after Operations at NovoScuba. I live in beautiful Oman, right by the sea, which makes this job a dream. I’ve been managing dive centres for many years and have a strong background in both logistics and languages—I speak several, which really helps when you’re building systems to support an international network. My focus is making sure our courses and centres run smoothly—so instructors and students can focus on what matters: the diving. -
Fern:
Hi there, I’m Fern, and I lead Business Development and Sales. I’m based in South Africa, and diving’s been in my life since I was a child. I’ve worked professionally in this industry for over 20 years, and it’s taken me around the world—from coral reefs to shark-filled seamounts. I’m especially passionate about shark diving, conservation, and making this industry more connected and accessible. At NovoScuba, I’m here to build relationships, support our dive centres, and grow the global family we’re creating. -

Thanks, team. What excites me most about NovoScuba is that we’re not trying to be a copy of what’s already out there. We’re innovating—from our training philosophy to how we support instructors and dive businesses. And it all starts with this team—and you, our community. -
Sara:
